CASIEF Dinner
This year’s annual CASIEF fundraising dinner will be hosted at a historical venue to think about the future of anesthesia! Join us in-person at Pier 21 for a delectable buffet dinner and cocktails overlooking the Halifax harbour and George’s Island. Pier 21 was one of Canada’s major ports of entry for immigration during the steamship era, operating from 1928 to 1971, and now home to Canadian Museum of Immigration.
Our virtual speaker for this event will be Dr. Jochen Hinkelbein to discuss “Anesthesia and Resuscitation in Space”. Dr. Hinkelbein is Professor of Anesthesiology, Intensive Care Medicine, and Emergency Medicine at the Cologne University Hospital. He is the President of the German Society of Aerospace Medicine (DGLRM), Chairman Space Medicine Group of the European Society of Aerospace Medicine (ESAM), and Chairman of the German Society of Aviation and Space Medicine working group for “Guidelines, Standards and Recommendations“. The formal program will be followed by a live circus performer demonstration on the waterfront. Virtual attendees will be able to join us for Dr. Hinkelbein’s talk.
